UNFP Awards 2026: Dembélé Named Ligue 1 Player of the Year as PSG Stars Dominate

The 2026 UNFP Awards honoured the standout performers from the 2025/26 Ligue 1 season, with Paris Saint-Germain and RC Lens collecting several of the major individual prizes.

Ousmane Dembélé was once again the headline winner after being named Ligue 1 Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

Désiré Doué Wins Best Young Player

PSG youngster Désiré Doué claimed the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award for the second year running.

The 20-year-old continued his impressive development in Paris, contributing seven goals and three assists in league action while becoming an increasingly important part of PSG's attack.

Risser and Sage Rewarded After Impressive Lens Season

RC Lens goalkeeper Robin Risser was named Goalkeeper of the Year after an excellent campaign in which he recorded 11 clean sheets and helped his side build one of the strongest defensive records in Ligue 1.

Lens coach Pierre Sage also received recognition, winning Coach of the Year after guiding the club to second place in Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France semi-finals.

Dembélé Adds Goal of the Year Award

Dembélé completed an impressive individual double by also winning the Just Fontaine Trophy for Ligue 1 Goal of the Year.

His performances throughout the season once again underlined his importance to PSG and confirmed his status as one of the biggest stars in French football.
