Who Is Joseph Nonge? Brest's 21-Year-Old Midfielder With Juventus Experience

Stade Brestois have added promising Belgian midfielder Joseph Nonge to their squad ahead of the 2026/27 Ligue 1 season. The 21-year-old arrives with experience across several European leagues and will be hoping to finally establish himself at one club.

From Anderlecht to Juventus

Nonge began his development at Anderlecht before joining Juventus' youth system in 2021.

His progress in Turin eventually earned him a first-team debut in January 2024. However, regular minutes were difficult to find at the Italian giants, leading the midfielder to look elsewhere for more playing time.

During the 2024/25 season, Nonge spent time on loan at Troyes in France before moving to Swiss side Servette for the second half of the campaign.

He later left Juventus permanently and joined Turkish club Kocaelispor, where he was able to gain more regular senior football.

A Fresh Start at Brest

Nonge has now returned to France by joining Brest on a three-year contract, with the Belgian midfielder set to wear the No.7 shirt.

Brest describe him as an energetic box-to-box midfielder who is strong in duels, capable of carrying the ball forward and willing to cover plenty of ground.

After moving between several clubs early in his career, stability will now be the key challenge for Nonge.

If he can adapt quickly to the intensity of Ligue 1 and earn regular minutes, the 2026/27 season could become an important turning point in the young Belgian's career.
