Rajasthan Royals Team Manager Fined for IPL Protocol Breach – BCCI Takes Strict Action During RR vs RCB Clash

In a fresh development from the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 season, the Rajasthan Royals Team Manager, Ravinder Singh Bhinder, has been fined INR 1 lakh for breaching official match-day protocols.
The incident occurred during Match 16 between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati on April 10, 2026.
⚠️What Happened?
According to an official advisory issued by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the violation involved the use of a mobile phone inside the team dugout — a direct breach of Article 4.1.1 under the IPL PMOA (Player & Match Officials Area) Protocols.
These rules are strictly enforced to maintain match integrity, prevent unauthorized communication, and eliminate any potential risk related to insider information or unfair advantage.
💬Official Response
Mr. Bhinder acknowledged the breach and accepted full responsibility. He issued an unconditional apology and admitted to the lapse.
Since this was his first offence, the BCCI imposed a monetary penalty of INR 1 lakh under Article 7.42(a) of the IPL PMOA regulations.
He has also received a formal warning, with strict instructions to comply fully with all match-day operational guidelines going forward.
