Migu Becomes LALIGA’s Exclusive New Media Partner in Mainland China Until 2029/30
August 3, 2026
LALIGA and China Mobile Migu have signed a new audiovisual rights agreement, making Migu the exclusive New Media Partner of LALIGA in Mainland China for four seasons, from 2026/27 to 2029/30.
Under the agreement, football fans across Mainland China will be able to watch all 380 LALIGA EA SPORTS matches live every season through Migu under a freemium model.
The rights package also covers match highlights, video-on-demand and short-form content, giving fans more ways to follow the Spanish top flight throughout the season.
World Cup Stars Return to LALIGA
The partnership comes at a strong moment for LALIGA following the 2026 World Cup.
Spain's World Cup-winning squad featured 17 players who competed in LALIGA during the 2025/26 season. In the final between Spain and Argentina, 24 of the 52 players across both squads belonged to LALIGA clubs, making it the most represented domestic league in the title clash.
Several LALIGA stars also collected major individual honours. Athletic Club goalkeeper Unai Simón won the Golden Glove, Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsí was named Young Player of the Tournament, while Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé claimed the Golden Boot after scoring 10 goals for France.
With the 2026/27 season approaching, Chinese fans will be able to follow clubs including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, Athletic Club, Sevilla and Valencia through Migu.
Major fixtures such as ELCLÁSICO, the Madrid Derby and Seville's EL GRAN DERBI will also be available alongside the title race and battle for European qualification.
LALIGA Strengthens Its Presence in China
Migu will also provide Chinese-language localisation of LALIGA's international programming, alongside live broadcasts and additional digital content tailored for local audiences.
The agreement further strengthens LALIGA's long-term strategy in China, combining Migu's digital reach and broadcasting technology with LALIGA's global football content.
With every league match available through Migu until 2029/30, the partnership is expected to bring Chinese fans closer to LALIGA's biggest clubs, players and rivalries over the next four seasons.
